Green Checkpoint

Green Checkpoint is a digital political communication, climate activism and research project that uses imagery from farming, nature, and life-simulation games to explore sustainability, environmental justice, One Health, and the climate crisis. Through educational memes and short-form commentary, the project examines how familiar gaming worlds can become spaces for reflecting on ecological futures, collective care, and the social systems shaping our relationship with the environment. While the page discusses and brings data on the climate crisis, its ethos is also inspired by the hopecore movement, trying to balance information with hope and optimism to fuel action. It thus aims to avoid climate pessimism, doomerism, nihilism, apathy, and anxiety.

This page is a non-commercial project; it will never be monetised. While screenshots are taken from actual video games, they represent but a fraction of gameplay, and all quotes are edited text created by me and informed by sustainability concepts and literature.
