OVERVIEW

The 'Podscarte' podcast is part of the DescartUFF outreach project.

'Podscarte' discusses medicines, their use, and how to discard them. What is the correct way of disposing of medicines? What are the impacts of inappropriate medicine disposal, for the environment and for our health? The answers to these questions and more are part of 'Podscarte', which outlines the history of public health and medicine disposal. 'Podscarte' was awarded the 1st place in the Fluminense Federal University's 2021 Prize for Excellence in Scientific Dissemination.

The podcast is in Brazilian Portuguese.

I worked as a script editor and presenter for the 'Podscarte' podcast.

Script editor:

• I enhanced the original script by restructuring it into a more engaging narrative format, incorporating storytelling techniques to captivate the listener.

• I worked along with the rest of the team — composed by Isabela Pierre, Júlia Peixoto, Luana Ribeiro, Maíra Amaral and Vladimir Pedro — to ensure that the podcast was delivering its main message and appealing to our target audience.

Presenter: 

• I delivered the podcast with a clear and authoritative voice, guiding the audience through complex topics in a relatable and informative way.
