The Chillbert Therapy website is a professional therapist portfolio that brings a fictional eco-conscious capybara therapist to life through web design. This project creates a calming, therapeutic digital environment that balances professionalism with whimsical character elements.

Chillbert Therapy represents a departure from traditional therapy websites through its unique blend of warm, earth-toned aesthetics and pixel art character integration. The design philosophy centres on creating a soothing, approachable therapeutic space that reflects Chillbert's specialisation in eco-anxiety and mindfulness practices. This project prioritises professional credibility whilst maintaining the charming anthropomorphic character appeal.

Colour Palette

The warm, earthy colour scheme was carefully selected to evoke feelings of natural calm and therapeutic safety. The palette draws inspiration from autumn landscapes, rich soil, and golden sunlight filtering through forest canopies, being perfectly suited for an environmentally-conscious therapist's practice.

Deep Forest (#1A2F23): The darkest tone serves as the primary foundation, representing grounding and stability essential in therapeutic relationships. Used for borders, text elements, and structural components, it provides necessary contrast whilst maintaining the natural theme.
Sage Green (#2F4F2F): This sophisticated green anchors the navigation and header elements, suggesting wisdom and professional expertise. It balances the warmer tones whilst reinforcing the connection to nature and environmental consciousness.
Meadow Green (#98D982): A fresh, optimistic green used for major background sections, this colour embodies growth, renewal, and the healing process. Its brightness suggests hope and positive change whilst remaining gentle and non-overwhelming.
Warm Cream (#F4E4C1): Providing essential contrast and readability, this creamy tone suggests comfort, warmth, and the safe space essential for therapeutic work. It serves as the primary background for text-heavy areas and form elements.
Sunset Yellow (#FEFCBF): The brightest colour in the palette, used sparingly for service cards and attention-drawing elements. It represents energy, optimism, and the illumination that comes through therapeutic insight.

Layout and Structure

The website employs a sophisticated grid-based layout system that adapts seamlessly across devices whilst maintaining visual hierarchy and professional presentation.

Header Design: The header features a prominent horizontal layout with Chillbert's portrait prominently displayed alongside his credentials. Linear gradients create visual depth whilst the pixel art character image adds personality without compromising professionalism.

Navigation System: A clean, horizontal navigation bar uses the darker sage green with smooth hover transitions. The design prioritises usability whilst the gradient background adds subtle visual interest.

Content Sections: Each major section employs different background treatments, alternating between solid backgrounds and subtle gradients to create visual rhythm and prevent monotony. The About section uses a soft green gradient, whilst the Philosophy section employs warmer earth tones.

Service Cards: The services section utilises a responsive CSS Grid layout that adapts from four columns on desktop to single column on mobile. Each card features consistent styling with positioned pixel art icons that add character whilst maintaining clear information hierarchy.

Characters

Chillbert's portrait serves as the primary visual anchor, whilst the monkey character appears strategically positioned to "sit" atop the Philosophy section, creating visual interest and reinforcing the meditation theme.

Georgia Serif: Used for all body text, Georgia provides excellent readability whilst conveying traditional therapeutic professionalism. Its organic forms complement the natural colour palette whilst ensuring accessibility across devices.
